Glove Cities Critter Sitter is owned and operated by Alison Hathaway. Alison is a NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician with over 10 years of animal care experience. Pet care is definitely Alison’s passion. She began her career volunteering at the Brennan Humane Society when she was 8th grade. Upon graduating from High School she went to SUNY Delhi to obtain her Veterinary Technician Degree. While in school she continued to work for the Delhi Animal Shelter as well as Johnstown Animal Clinic. After graduating from college she moved to Buffalo, NY and worked in a 3 doctor small animal practice for 3 years before returning to Fulton County in August of 2006. Animal Rescue is very dear to her heart as well. Alison ran an all breed dog rescue in Buffalo and in just over 2 years successfully placed over 250 dogs and puppies with loving families from all over the state. She has also started doing a some rescue here in the area but on a much smaller scale. I’m sure if she had the space to care for that many animals now, she would still be doing just as much rescue as before. Instead she now spends her extra time assisting other local shelters and rescue groups with their rescue efforts. Currently she works as a pet sitter and is also a part-time vet tech. She lives in Gloversville with her fiancé Kevin, new baby Mia, Tate & Flipper (Dogs), Frankie, Hoppy, Eric, & Gypsy (Cats). |
